Alex ''Spike'' Gladwyn is a new signing this season and could be a vital piece of the jigsaw. With his aggressive batting style, Wherwell can expect to get off to a flying start in every game they play. He is also a fantastic leg-spinner and will be expected to bowl a lot of overs this season, learning all the time off the senior spin bowlers of Ryan and Adi. If Spike continues to progress as he has done over the past 2 season's at Wherwell, a genuine top class all-rounder is in the making.
